Sunshine

Today is Ash Wednesday. I've spent the past few years learning what that means but this year it feels real to me.

Today I'm ready for spring and desperately missing the sunshine. I *love* light- in photos, coming through my windows, where ever... I've got the winter blues, come on spring!

Today I will remember this 'Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." - John 8:12

Burdens

Today I'm feeling very intuitive and emotional. I'm a really private person, so this post will be quite revealing(for me anyway) if I can even find the words to write my heart. I spend a good amount of time feeling burdened for people who are hurting(for whatever reason). I rarely know what to do with these feelings and when I have personal burdens, like now, I feel broken. I wonder how Jesus felt to carry the burden of all of us. If it hurts me to carry/feel the burdens in my life and of others that I know, I can't fathom the suffering that Jesus experienced. He carried the cross for the *whole* world.

Fall photos

There isn't much that I love more than pumpkin season! I really do miss it already. Fortunately, I snagged several bottles of pumpkin spice creamer for my coffee before the store quit ordering it in Dec., so I'm still enjoying it. I also have the makings for two pumpkin pies! Call me crazy, but I love me some pumpkins.

Gentry Vow Renewal!

Some of the dearest people in my life renewed their vows last fall. I felt so honored to be asked to photograph their renewal. Here is a glimpse of their special day!

Time is passing me by...

I have two jobs... I've spent the past couple of months pouring my heart into one of those jobs and I've neglected my blog. I don't think I'm very wasteful with my time but lately I'm finding it hard to do all the things I want to do... homeschooling, church work, photography, blogging the photos, prayer time, study, reading, exercise, oh and I have to fit in housecleaning and laundry too. I have to find balance and I have to accept that life is going to fluctuate.
